Profile
My name is Kayley Dobinson, the face behind
Kaloho Creative.
I am a military child who moved about a bit growing up, which resulted in a strange accent and a passion for new experiences.
I initially studied a BSc(Hons) in Textile and Fashion Design Management in the Scottish Borders before going on to do a course in Graphic Design after graduating — because four years at university just wasn’t enough!
I have spent 15 years working in reprographics, printing
and the signage industries as both a technician and designer, learning everything there is to know about design, manufacture and installation.
I have worked with every industry sector including construction, hospitality, retail and health and fitness and have done everything from logo design to corporate stationery, tender bids to vehicle livery, building signage to wedding stationery. No matter it’s end application —
if you need a design, I can help.
I live by the mantra “nothing is impossible” and I love a design challenge, so if you think your idea is pure fantasy, let’s chat and see if we can make it a reality.
Fun Facts:
- The name “Kaloho” comes from my name – Kayley Louise Holdham (my maiden name). I thought about changing it after I got married, but “Kalodo” just sounds awful!
- The rat in my design represents my love for animals. So far I’ve owned over 10 rats, two cats, 10 chickens and two ducks. I also have a couple of human children too, but I think they own me at this point!
- I love colour and life is too short for boring hair.
Bring on the colour wheel!
